All hours are subject to weather and rink conditions. You will be sent an email if your ice skating reservation must be re-scheduled. In case of severe weather, that causes a public safety concern, skaters may be asked to leave the outdoor event.

Sweet Street at The Square


Make your way to Sweet Street at The Square in Lykes Gaslight Park! This NEW expansion of Winter Village Tampa features Sweet Mama’s Ice Cream shop, a gingerbread theme, lights throughout the park and activations.

Winter Village Express


Hop aboard the Winter Village Express and experience a holiday trip through Tampa’s Downtown like no other! This interactive experience takes you from Whiting Station to the historic city of Ybor and back just in time for more Winter Village Tampa fun. Enjoy cookies and milk on board (no additional charge), as well as entertainment like group trivia, stories and sing-a-longs. Masks are mandatory.

Having trouble finding the Winter Village Express? Follow the festive Poinsettia Path! This holiday path lined with poinsettias will guide you between Whiting Station and Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Holidays Classics with the Tampa Theatre

We are thrilled to partner with the Tampa Theatre, select weekends, for our Holiday Classic film screenings held in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. This is a free event on the lawn. Seating is first come, first served.

Santa Sighting

He’s making a list and checking it twice, but not before making a few surprise visits at Winter Village!

Be sure to stay off the naughty list and stay tuned to the @WinterVillageTampa Facebook and Instagram pages for clues as to when you might be able to catch a glimpse of the man in red yourself. Bring your camera and prepare for a Santa experience like no other.

City of Tampa's Santa Fest

The 2021 Santa Fest returns to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park December 4th, followed by the annual Tampa Tree Lighting.

The parade steps off at 1:30pm beginning at Morgan Street and Madison Street. It travels west on Madison Street to Ashley Drive, turns north and ends at Ashley Drive and Cass Street. Best viewing is along Madison Street.

After the parade through Downtown, come by Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park for Santa Fest entertainment and activities from 3:30pm-5:30pm. Stay for the Tampa Tree Lighting entertainment from 5:30pm-6:25pm.

See Mayor Castor and Santa Claus light up the tree before The Grinch (2018) movie plays plays in the park to end the day.

The Winter Wonder Ride is a holiday themed bike ride through Tampa's Downtown!

Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

The Friends of the Riverwalk present Tampa’s largest lighted boat parade! This event will happen the Saturday before Christmas, December 18th at 6pm, along the Hillsborough River in Downtown Tampa.

The parade begins at the southern tip of Davis Islands, travels through the Convention Center basin and up to the Heights where the boats will turn around and head to Sparkman Wharf where judging will occur and the parade will end.

Where Can I Park / How do I Get There?

Parking is available for a nominal rate at multiple locations adjacent to Winter Village presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning, including the William F. Poe Parking Garage north of Curtis Hixon Park. Click here for a full list of options.

We encourage you to park once to enjoy the Winter Village, presented by the Tampa Bay Lightning, at Curtis Hixon Park and walk the beautiful Tampa Riverwalk to other downtown destinations. You can also travel to the Winter Village by Pirate Water Taxi, Coast Bike Share, and more! Visit the Getting Around section in Tampa’s Downtown to explore all your options.

A free bicycle and scooter parking area, sponsored by LIME, is available on-site. Note that e-scooters are prohibited on the Riverwalk.

Are Dogs Allowed?

Leashed dogs are welcome on the Tampa Riverwalk, downtown parks, the dog park adjacent to Winter Village, and Winter Village event areas. Dogs are not allowed on the ice rink.

Is The Winter Village Free To Attend?

Winter Village is free to attend and is open to all ages. The shops and café area feature specialty goods, food and drink for purchase. The ice rink requires paid admission to skate and for ice skating rentals.

Do I Have To Buy Ice Rink Tickets in Advance?

All visits must be reserved in advance by purchasing a timed ticket(s) online. Those who attempt the “walk‐up” purchase of tickets in person, will be shown a QR‐code to purchase tickets on their smartphones; if the present time is fully‐booked, the guest will be shown other available times to skate.

Check the public operating hours on this website. Tickets must be purchased online. Your reservation is only valid for the time(s) and date(s) purchased. Tickets are for 75 minutes of skating time, which begins at the time of check‐in.

Tickets are available online, on a first‐come/first‐serve basis. To ensure you are able to get tickets, please purchase your tickets ahead of time.

No, your ticket is non‐transferable to another day, or to another person.

We continue to skate in light rain or drizzle. If heavy rain or severe storm conditions are expected, resulting in a venue closure, all ticket purchasers will be notified by email and have the opportunity to reschedule.

No. For the safety of all skaters, no hockey sticks or pucks are allowed on the ice.

Skaters under the age of 12 may have one non‐skating parent or guardian accompany them into the venue. It would be best to purchase a skating ticket for a parent, adult, or teen to accompany small children.

Winter Village Express

The Winter Village Express will make its way from Downtown’s Whiting Station to Ybor and back on the TECO Line Streetcar. Join us for this one-hour, round-trip excursion that is fun for the entire family! Our trip features a holiday sing-a-long, holiday trivia, milk & cookies, and added surprises along the way. You don’t want to miss this memorable holiday event, so get your tickets for the Winter Village Express before they sell out! Masks are mandatory.
